The university provides admission to postgraduate diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate, integrated and doctoral courses. For admission in B.Pharma and D.Pharma programmes candidates need to appear for OJEE. Utkal University admission to M.C.A., M.Tech Computer Science and Engineering, M.Sc. Computer Science, M.A. Women Studies and L.L.M courses is given based on candidates' marks in Common Post- Graduation Admission Entrance Test (CPET). The varsity conducts an entrance examination for admission in M.Sc., M.J.M.C., M.B.A. and integrated courses.
