Fakir Mohan University, Balasore offers admission to undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Fakir Mohan University, Balasore offers 40 postgraduate programmes. The PG courses offered by FM University Balasore are M.B.A, L.L.M, M.Com, M.Sc, M.C.A, M.Lib.I.Sc, M.A and M.Phil. The course duration of the FM University M.B.A, L.L.M, M.Com, M.Sc, M.A and M.Lib.I.Sc programme is 2 years and the course duration of the FMU M.C.A programme is 3 years. To be eligible for M.B.A admission, candidates must have passed a bachelor’s degree of a minimum 3 years duration and secured an aggregate of 50% marks in the qualifying exam.

FM University Balasore PG Courses - Seat Intake/Eligibility Criteria

Fakir Mohan University Admission Procedure- M.B.A/M.C.A.

• First, candidates are required to meet the eligibility criteria for the M.B.A and M.C.A admission.

• Next, eligible candidates have to register and appear for the entrance exam - OJEE.

• After the declaration of the OJEE result, candidates should meet the OJEE cutoff for M.B.A and M.C.A admission.

• Then, candidates meeting the cutoff have to participate in OJEE counselling and give preference to Fakir Mohan University, Balasore.

• Candidates with CAT, MAT, XAT, ATMA, NIMCET and GPAT scores are also eligible for admission through counselling of OJEE.

• Further, seats are allotted on the basis of the ranks of the candidates and preferences filled.

Fakir Mohan University Admission Procedure - L.L.M/M.Com/M.Sc/M.Lib.I.Sc/M.A.

• Candidates have to meet the eligibility criteria for FMU admission.

• Candidates seeking admission to the L.L.M, M.Com, M.Sc, M.Lib.I.Sc and M.A courses have to apply online through the Students Academic Management System (SAMS) of Higher Education Department, Government of Odisha. 

• Next, eligible candidates are required to apply online in the Common Application Form (CAF) to appear in Common PG Entrance Test (CPET).

• The online CAF is available on the website of PG SAMS Odisha and can be accessed at any place where the internet facility is available. 

• Further, candidates have to submit the CAF and pay the CAF fees online through the prescribed gateways.

• Admissions to these courses are done through the Common PG Entrance Test (CPET) conducted by the Department of Higher Education (DHE), Odisha.

• Eligible candidates are then invited to appear for the Common PG Entrance Test (CEPT).

• Then, the CPET subject-wise and state-wide provisional rank are prepared by combining the career marks (30% of the total) and marks secured in the entrance examination (70% of the total) by the candidate.

• The provisional allotment is prepared through a centralised selection process on the basis of the subject-wise, state-wide provisional rank, choice of preferences as provided by the candidate, reservation and weightage detail provided in the CAF.

• Further, based on the entrance test result candidates have to take admission to their chosen field of study.

• Final admission is offered after verification of documents and course fee payment. 

Fakir Mohan University M.Phil Admission Procedure

• For admission to the FMU M.Phil programme, candidates need to meet the eligibility criteria.

• Eligible candidates have to download the application form from the university website and send the filled in application along with a bank draft with other supporting documents.

• Then, candidates have to appear for an entrance test conducted by the university.

• Candidates who have qualified NET (JRF), SLET and GATE are exempted from the entrance test. 

• Further, candidates who have cleared the entrance test have to appear for viva-voce.

• Selection for M.Phil admission shall be made on the basis of career marks, performance in the entrance test and the viva-voce taken together with respective weightage of 50%, 40% and 10%.

• While calculating career marks, weightage will be given to candidates having secured honours in the concerned subject only. Honours in other subjects shall be put at par with pass courses.

• Later, selected candidates have to get their documents verified and pay the Fakir Mohan University admission fee.
