B. Tech. in Metallurgical & Materials Engineering programme is of 4 years duration (8 semesters). The course work in the first two semesters is common to all branches of engineering. The core courses are introduced from the 3rd semester onwards. Besides, elective courses are offered from 5th semester onwards. The electives permit one to choose his/her area of interest within the broad areas. The students also carry out project work during the last two semesters based on the knowledge acquired.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidate should have secured at least 75% marks in the 12thclass examination or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th class / Qualifying examination conducted by the respective Boards. For SC/ST candidates the qualifying marks would be 65% in the 12th class / qualifying examination.

Admission Details

Admission to Undergraduate Programs at NITs shall be based on the performance in the Joint Entrance Examination, JEE (Main).

College Infrastructure

Extraordinary infrastructure, especially newly built ones,,it's an eye feast for everyone to gaze at,and many new buildings are built which are inaugurated by honble central minister's,, and 1.8k hostel is the second largest in india,,and new 1.7k girls hostel would be inaugurated soonnn..

College Infrastructure

Infrastructure and laboratories are out of the box and the best. The library is huge and contains both Digital and also hard copies. Wifi facility covers all areas around the campus. Hostels are spacious enough and mess food for first years is a bit boring and then from second years the government mess is a gifted thing. You can also play whatever you want.
