Hello,
According to your percentile and category, there is a possibility that you can secure a seat in the agriculture program of BBSR. But there are some factors that influence your admission to this course.
Overall, you can be sure about your admission, but still you have to do things like wait for the rank list, check the cutoff, and then participate in the counseling process.
I hope it will clear your query!!
The final selection depends on your rank, not just the weightage. Cutoff ranks change every year based on N umber of seats, C ategory (General/SC/ST/OBC) and Total applicants and their scores. If your rank is within the cutoff for BBSR campus, then you’ll get a seat. So, wait for the rank list and counseling to know clearly.
With your OUAT 2024 score of 132 and good marks in 10th (499/600) and 12th (510/600), you have a good chance to get a seat in OUAT or other colleges in Odisha. Admission depends on your combined marks and entrance score. Cutoffs change every year, but your score looks promising. To be sure, check the official OUAT website or contact their admission office for exact details about seats and counseling.
Hello,
With your marks you have a good chance of getting into Bvsc at OUAT Bhubaneswar as an Odisha resident and OBC student but it depends on the competition and the specific cut off for your category
Your 142 marks in the OUAT entrance exam combined with your 90.33% in 10th and 94% and 12th gives you better chances
Here is more detailed information:-
1. OUAT uses a 50% weightage for the entrance exam score 25% for 10th marks and 25% for 12th marks
2. You can use previous year cutoffs for a guidance while the official 2025 cut off will be released after the exam is done
3. As an OBC candidate you have slightly better chances because the cutoffs are slightly lower for OBC category compared to general category
4. You have good chances but you need to check of the exact cutoff that will be vary based on the number of applicants and their scores
But don't worry you have higher chances and you could get admission easily for confirmation you need to check the cutoffs
Hope that helps!
Dear Candidate ,
With your given marks , you have a strong chance of qualifying for a seat at OUAT . Based on past trends , you stand a good chance of getting into popular courses like B. Sc . Agriculture or Horticulture, depending on your category and overall merit rank .
hi,
83% in 10th, 76% in 12th, and 118 marks in OUAT 2025, you have a good chance to get a B.Sc. Agriculture seat at OUAT Bhubaneswar under the SEBC category. Your marks are good and your OUAT score is also decent. Based on previous years, SEBC category students with similar scores have got seats in Bhubaneswar, Chiplima, and Bhawanipatna campuses.
Your academic profile satisfies the core requirements for OUAT undergraduate admissions. Your 10th grade score (80%) is comfortably above the standard threshold. Likewise, your 12th grade result in the science stream (82.33%) exceeds the minimum aggregate requirement, which is 50% for general category candidates.
You have obtained 87 out of 200 in the entrance examination, which translates to approximately 43.5%. OUAT employs a weighted evaluation system as follows: Entrance Exam (50%), 12th Grade Marks (25%), and 10th Grade Marks (25%).
Applying this formula:
- Entrance Exam: (87/200) × 50 = 21.75
- 12th Grade: (82.33/100) × 25 = 20.58
- 10th Grade: (80/100) × 25 = 20.00
For highly sought-after courses such as Agriculture, B.V.Sc & A.H., and Agricultural Engineering, the expected cutoff for general category candidates typically ranges from 66 to 77 (weighted score). Your estimated score of 62.3 falls below this range.
However, for less competitive programs such as Forestry, Community Science, or Horticulture the cutoff may be lower (sometimes in the 68–70 range). While your score may still be slightly below these thresholds, you could remain competitive, depending on annual variations and seat availability.
1. Monitor official results and counselling announcements (generally released in July–August).
2. If you are open to pursuing less competitive courses, prioritize those during the counselling process.
3. If you qualify under any reserved categories or the ICAR quota, consider utilizing those avenues, as cutoffs may be lower.
Estimated Total = 62.3 / 100
You have met the basic eligibility criteria for OUAT’s undergraduate programs. While your weighted score is below the expected cutoff for the most competitive courses, you could still be considered for other programs with slightly lower cutoffs. Be sure to track the official cutoff announcements and prioritize your preferences accordingly during counselling.
If you require further guidance regarding program selection or the counselling process, do not hesitate to seek assistance.
