Amity University | B.Sc Admissions 2025
ApplyRanked amongst top 3% universities globally (QS Rankings)
With 83 percent in 10th, 68.8 percent in 12th PCB and 118 marks in OUAT, you have a fair chance of getting shortlisted in the counselling process. Selection also depends on your category, cutoff trends and seat availability in Forestry and other allied courses. Keep checking the official OUAT counselling portal regularly and fill your preferences carefully to maximize your chances.
With 71.88% in Class 10 , 82.66% in Class 12 , and a OUAT 2025 score of 116 (SC category) , you’re in a competitive position. Unfortunately, detailed cutoffs for SC aren’t officially out yet. For general reference, the qualifying score is around 45–50% , and counselling begins in early August. Strong SC candidates often secure seats in courses like B.Sc. Agriculture , Horticulture , or Forestry , depending on seat availability. You should attend counselling, fill your choices wisely, and stay updated on the official OUAT website.
Hello
With 94 marks in OUAT exam and having 89,77 in 10th and 70,83 in 12th, your chances of getting into OUAT (Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology) is good, but it depends upon your course preference (B.Sc Agri, B.V.Sc, B.Tech etc).
For general category students, the previous years cutoff have been 97-105 marks and you just fall short of that cutoff but your Class 10th marks could make up for it.
Thank You!!!

Hello Aspirant,
According to your OUAT score of 95 and your academic record (Class 10-97% and Class 12 - 83%), you have a good chance of admission into B. Tech Agriculture at OUAT Bhubaneswar - but final selection is at your category's cutoff and the relative competition for your year.
Hey Sneha,
Thanks for reaching out!
With 95 marks in OUAT,97% in 10th and 83% in 12th your weighted score is around 69% which places you near the cutoff rate for B.tech agricultural engineering at OUAT, Bhubaneswar. while your score is a bit on the edge, you still have a decent chance, especially in later rounds.Your strong academic background adds to your chances and they improve further if you belong to a reserve category.
Stay hopeful, attend councelling, keep an eye on further rounds, also consider backup options like Forestry, community science or other allied sciences at OUAT,which also offers strong career potential.

Hello Aspirant
Based on your 74 percentile in OUAT 2025 and SC category, your chances of getting a B.Sc. Agriculture seat at OUAT Bhubaneswar (Main Campus) are moderate to good, but not guaranteed.
Main Campus (Bhubaneswar) SC cutoff percentile usually lies around 78–82 percentile.
With a rank of 8814 and a weightage of 76.98, it is unlikely that you will get a seat in OUAT Bhubaneswar, especially in highly preferred courses like B.Sc. Agriculture.
Seats in the Bhubaneswar campus are limited and usually go to candidates with ranks within the top 500–700, even in reserved categories like SEBC. Your weightage is fair, but the rank is on the higher side for the main campus.
However, you may still have a chance in:
Other OUAT campuses (like Chiplima, Bhawanipatna)
Lower preference courses (like Horticulture or Forestry)
Spot or mop-up rounds (if vacancies remain)
With a general rank of 5075 in OUAT, it is difficult to get admission in B.Tech Agriculture (Agricultural Engineering) at OUAT Bhubaneswar. In the past years, general category students who got admission in this course had ranks around 1200 to 1300. So your rank is higher than the cutoff.
OUAT gives marks by combining 50% entrance marks, 25% from class 10, and 25% from class 12. Based on this system, students with better overall scores usually get admission in B.Tech Agriculture.
With your rank, you may not get a seat in the main campus for B.Tech Agriculture. You can check for other courses like B.Sc Agriculture, Horticulture, or Home Science in other OUAT colleges where cutoff may be lower. You can also look at private or self-financed colleges that offer Agricultural Engineering.
If you belong to a reserved category, like SC, ST, or OBC, you may get a chance in counselling through category quota.
Hello,
According to your previous academic records and OUAT percentile, you can get a course in BBSR. Since you are in a competitive position, you can try for a B.Sc. in agriculture, horticulture, or veterinary science at this college. I think you should complete all the formalities and register primarily for the counseling with the documents.
I hope it resolves your query!!
I was a student of ouat, all the infrastructure in our college is perfect, we have laboratories for respective departments. Lecture Halls are excellent with 100 seated gallery system, Air conditioner and smart board. Ouat library is outstanding and it also has e library along with free wifi.As per the hygiene it need improvement.
The college infrastructure was average but it was located in a safe and convenient area which is close to all daily requirements. Classroom were big enough but they didn't have enough rooms for other facilities.
It has all the necessary infrastructure required to study well. Facilities are provided. Equipments are supplied. Labs are updated with latest technology. Class rooms are air conditioned, with smart boards installed. Wifi is there in college.
