72 MonthsDoctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) is an offered Full-time Doctoral program and it is offered by the Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology Surat. Ph.D. program shall be for a minimum duration of three years, including course work and a maximum of six years. Extension beyond the above limits will be governed by the relevant clauses as stipulated in the Statute/Ordinance of the individual Institution concerned.
Eligibility Criteria
A candidate Must have passed M.E. / M.Tech. in CSE/IT with at least second class with minimum 50% (CGPA=5.5) or equivalent in respective Engineering faculty and 55% in other cases.

Admission is Through Competitive Test and Interview.

College Infrastructure
The infrastructure is quite good. The department has three different buildings, and all the labs required for the course, such as fluid dynamic labs, hydraulic lab , som lab , structure lab, EM lab and transporation lab.
