As per the recent information, Pune university Entrance exam of MA economic exam will be conducted on 01 September, 2020.

Also, the application form submission date has been extended till 10 Aug, 2020. You can submit the examination form till 10 Aug. Pune university Entrance exam of MA economic date will be changed if the situation is not perfect  to conduct the exam.

According to the resources , Dean of engineering faculty at savitribai phule pune university , manohar chaskar, said a supreme court order prohibits admissions to professional courses without an entrance test. chaskar said, "the government could go for a blended entrance examination with online and offline options. students in rural areas can have separate arrangements for the exam offline at gram panchayat or tehsil offices. the students in urban areas should be able to manage with their own resources at home.”

No , As considering the situation which has been caused due to covid 19 the SAVITRIBAI PHULE UNIVERSITY have decided to extend application form submission till 10 August (online mode ). Earlier the date for submitting the admission form was JULY 20 , 2020.

Savitribai Phule Pune University  is a public university which is also called the ‘Oxford of the East’. The University offers approximately 2500 UG, PG, Diploma, PG Diploma, PhD and certificate courses. It was established in 1949 and is an UGC approved, NAAC accredited grade A University. It offers numerous UG, PG, Diploma and Phd courses.

The admission process has been listed below:

• Visit the official website of the university.(unipune.ac.in)
• On the official website of Pune University , click on ‘Admissions’ tab.
• Now, select the desired course as per UG, PG or PhD degree.
• Register yourself by verifying your email ID and mobile number. Then,  create an  password and hit the ‘Submit’ button.
• Now login using your emai ID and password and fill the application form.
• Go to profile section and Add your personal information like your name, details of your parents, address of communication and so on.
• Now enter your academic detail and other information.
• Attach your passport size photographs and finish the application process by making payment to the university.

As you know that there are four semesters in this course.

Here I am giving one by one syllabus for each semesters.

1. Semester 1: General Sociology, Classical Sociological Theory, Indian Society and Culture, Rural Sociology.
2. Semester 2: Industrial Sociology, Perspectives or Indian society, Sociology of Rural Development, Qualitative and Quantitave Research.
3. Semester 3: Advance Social Theory Trends , Sociological Concepts and key ideas, Gender and society, social change and development, Social Psychology, Social Anthropology, Urban Sociology, Sociology and Religion, Political Sociology.
4. Semester 4: Environmental and Society, Sociology and Education, Social Movements in India, Criminology, Social Problems, Computer applications on social research, Sociology of health, Sociology in mass communication, Sociology of organization and human resources.

There are also optional and compulsory papers in both 3rd and 4th semester.
