24 MonthsMaster of Arts ( M.A ) Public Health is a full-time two-year postgraduate course offered by the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai.
Eligibility Criteria
- The program requires completion of Bachelor's Degree of minimum of 3 years duration or its equivalent ( under the 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 or 10+2+2+1 year bridge course pattern of study or any other pattern fulfilling the mandatory requirements of 15 years formal education) from a recognized university, in any discipline.
- At the time of applying candidates studying in 3-year degree, the program should have passed in all the subjects for the 1st to 4th semesters and candidates studying in 4-year degree programs should have passed in all the subjects for 1st to 6th semester.
Admission Details
The selection of candidates for different programs happens in two stages and has three components of assessment. All candidates appear for the National entrance test (TISSNET). Based on the performance in the TISSNET examination, only shortlisted candidates are called for the Pre Interview Test and Personal Interview (PIT/PI)

The facilities provided in this course are excellent, including a good Wi-Fi connection, well-equipped labs and classrooms with impressive infrastructure. The hostel facilities are also commendable, providing a mess with good-quality food, along with a canteen and reliable medical assistance.

TISS mumbai has 2 campuses, new and old. Both campuses are absolutely beautiful, green and serene! The academic buildings for lectures are marvelous, spacious, with ACs in some, projectors in most, good benches and chairs. Apart from lecture halls, there is a 6 floor library, a dedicated gymkhana, 2 canteens, badminton, volleyball courts, a central area for students to sit, talk and do their work in their free time, a good amphitheater and so on. Digital infra is commendable too.
