Tripura University Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The university boys hostel has an accommodation capacity of 110 students. The room of the hostel is ventilated and spacious. The boys hostel has basic amenities like reading room, common room with Tv, mess etc.

A dedicated hostel for girls students is there at the campus. The girl hostel can accommodate 60 students. Basic facilities like reading room, common room with Tv, mess etc. are available at the girls hostel.

The health centre of the varsity has two doctors (one male and one female), two nurses, medical laboratory attendant and a female attendant. Tripura University students, professors, staff members can avail the facilities offered by the health centre. The university also has a separate building where beds with oxygen and saline are available. For emergency situations, an ambulance is also present within the campus.

The central library of the university is a three-storey building spread over an area of 5415 square meters. Tripura University Suryamaninagar has a reading room with a seating capacity of 250 people. The library has over 30,000 ebooks and 14 online databases. Furthermore, journals, CD/DVD, thesis, reports, newspapers etc. are also available in the library.

The varsity has indoor as well as outdoor sports facilities and infrastructure. The sports board of the university conducts various intra collegiate and inter college tournaments at regular intervals. The university teams of different sports also participate in all India inter-university tournaments.

The university has 5 computer labs and 9 departmental computer labs. There are around 500 computers in the computer labs. The computers are updated regularly and are equipped with the latest software and hardware. Wifi is also there for students to use.

Tripura University canteen serves breakfast and lunch to students. The canteen has a seating capacity of 100 people. A separate space to accommodate over 30 faculty members is also there at the campus. Food and beverages served by the canteen are affordable and healthy.

All the seminars, workshops and other events are held at the modern auditorium of the university.

The entire campus of the university has wifi connectivity. The wifi is available in the hostels and staff quarters as well. Students and faculty members can use wifi to use the internet on their mobile phone.

The campus of Tripura University has a branch of State Bank of India and a post office for students and faculty members. Adding to it, two ATMs are also available at the campus.
