Hello

To get admission in Thakur College (TIMSCDR) through MCA-CET, the cutoff for the All India category in 2025 was around 96.39 percentile. Since you were born in Bihar but did your SSC and HSC in Mumbai, you'll likely fall under the All India quota. So, to stay on the safer side, you should aim for at least 95–97 percentile or higher. Cutoffs can change depending on the competition each year, so the higher you score, the better your chances. Thakur is a good college, so it stays slightly competitive. Keep your focus strong for the 2026 exam and start preparing early

Yes, final-year students of YCMOU (Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University) or any other recognized university can apply for the UPSC Civil Services Exam, provided they meet certain conditions. However, for appearing in the UPSC Mains, you must submit proof of graduation before the specified deadline set by UPSC.

Important Points to Consider:

  • Final-year students can apply and appear for the UPSC Prelims as long as their degree is from a recognized university.
  • During the Prelims application, you only need to declare that you're in the final year and will provide proof of passing later.

Hello,

Since you've completed your BA from YCMOU (Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University) without passing the HSC exam, eligibility depends on whether the MPSC recognizes your degree as equivalent to a regular graduation. Generally, a preparatory exam from YCMOU can be considered an alternative to HSC, but it’s important to verify this with MPSC's latest eligibility criteria.

I recommend contacting the MPSC or checking their official notifications for specific guidelines on candidates with non-standard educational paths like yours. You may also need to present additional documentation to confirm the equivalency of your qualification.

The eligibility requirements for NCVRT Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) might vary depending on the specific institute you choose.

A BA Urdu medium degree from YCMOU (Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University) should likely be sufficient for admission to the NCVRT Diploma in MLT. NCVRT diplomas typically require a graduation qualification for eligibility.

It is always recommended to confirm eligibility directly with the NCVRT institute you're interested in. Their website or a call to the admissions department can clarify their specific requirements for the MLT program.

Failing your SSC (Secondary School Certificate) examination in Maharashtra Board should not necessarily disqualify you from the NCVRT MLT Diploma. The focus for this program is usually on your graduation qualification (BA degree).
