Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering is four years (8 Semester) full-time undergraduate engineering program offered by Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati.

The B.Tech. programme in Computer Science & Engineering imparts the fundamentals of Computer Science through a set of core courses. It also equips the student in his/her chosen specialization, through a set of electives.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidate must be the final examination of the 10+2 system, conducted by a Central or State Board recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
Intermediate or two-year Pre-University examination conducted by a Board or University recognized by the Association of Indian Universities.
Final examination of the two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defence Academy.
Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling with a minimum of five subjects.
Any Public School, Board or University examination in India or in a foreign country recognized as equivalent to the 10+2 system by the AIU.
H.S.C. vocational examination. A Diploma recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) or a State Board of Technical Education of at least 3 years duration.

Admission Details

Students are selected for admission to the above programmes through Joint Entrance Examination for IITs (IIT-JEE-Advance).

College Infrastructure

Yes, the college has amazing campus with all the needed facilities. It has an area of about 700acres. It has necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipments. The laboratories in our university are all equiped with up to date equipments. It has campus wifi and a very speed LAN wire connections in our hostels. It do has smart boards too. The living space i.e our hostels are good and the food is amazing too but somedays they are not up to mark?. There are a total of 12 hostels in our campus.

College Infrastructure

Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati is located just on the outskirts of the city of Guwahati and is well connected to other parts of the country by road, rail or air. There are direct air services from/to Mumbai, New Delhi and Kolkata with connectivity to all major cities in the country and direct train services from/to all the metropolis and other major cities. Air India, Jet Airways,Jetlite, Kingfisher, IndiGo, SpiceJet and GoAir operate regular flights to and from Guwahati.
