Acharya Atre Vikas Pratishthan Purandar's Sharadchandraji Pawar College, Jejuri was started in 1991 with the goal of offering higher education. The college was set up with the help of Sharadchandraji Pawar and President Vijayrao Kolte, and the main idea behind this was encouraging learning skills in rural areas.

Acharya Atre Atre Vikas Pratishthan Purandar Sharadchandraji Pawar College, Jejuri is affiliated with the college Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune.  The college is affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University and it has received a NAAC Grade 'B' accreditation. The college is mainly offers undergraduate courses in Arts and Commerce, helping students get Bachelor of Arts (BA ) and  Bachelor of Commerce  (B.Com.) degrees and all the admission is based on the student's merit according to the university's rules.
