Adesh Polytechnic College was set up in 1994 and is an affiliated college. It is located in Sri Muktsar Sahib district of Punjab state and is one of the best Technical & Pharmaceutical education institutions to be approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICT E) and Pharmacy Council of India (PCI). It offers diploma programmes in various disciplines of Engineering and Pharmacy. Located in a 2 acre campus, the institute admits a total enrolment of 492 students and has a teaching staff of 42 members. At present, Adesh Polytechnic College offers five diploma courses for students such as Computer Science, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering and Pharmacy to meet various student’s interest in technical field.
Adesh Polytechnic College also offer facilities that would create a favourable learning environment to the students. The campus has provided different hostels for boys’ and girls’ students with the capacities to accommodate one hundred and fifty boys and two hundred and twenty-five girls respectively. Internet connection as well as computer facilities are available in every hostel to ensure the students enjoy the modern accommodations. The college library is described as a treasure house of knowledge, for it contains about sixty thousand books and ten thousand bound volumes of journals and subscribing to about one hundred international journals of different fields. To ensure the health of its students, the college has affiliations with Adesh Hospital and Research Center Muktsar, and has contracted two part-time physicians. They also have functional skill-development areas that include laboratories to improve practical experiences, a gym for students to exercise, and a cafeteriato feed the delicate health consciousness of all this yearning students.
At present, Adesh Polytechnic College has a total of five diploma courses which are full time. These are Diploma in Computer Science and Engineering, Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Diploma in Civil Engineering and D.Pharma (Diploma in Pharmacy). All these programmes designed here have an accredited admission capacity of 60 students therefore the total admissions intake is 300. The college is committed towards technical education to fulfill the needs of the world by offering quality education under the various demands of the market for getting our students placed in their respective fields.
