Al-Azhar Law College is an affiliated college in Thodupuzha, Kerala since 2013. Co-educational and approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI) which means it follows all legal education curriculum.. With regard to the college being discussed, its specialisation is presented by 6 Law courses in five degrees. Al-Azhar Law College is now focusing on the goal of imparting quality legal education so that the students when passing out can be quickly placed in the legal profession. Al-Azhar Law College, Thodupuzha is affiliated with the college Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam. The specialty of Al-Azhar Law College provides 6 courses, and all of them are full-time. The program of the study covers both the undergraduate and the postgraduate in law. The basic curriculum offered by the college at the undergraduate level are B.A LLB, LLB, B.Com LLB (Hons) and BBA LLB (Hons). At post graduate level, programs offered include; Post graduate diploma in Commercial Law, LLM in Commercial Law and Criminal Law. The total intake permitted for the BA LLB and LLB courses is 120 and for B.Com LLB (Hons) and BBA LLB (Hons) the intake capacity is 60 each.

The admission to Al-Azhar Law College is offered mostly on the basis of performance on the Kerala Law Entrance Examination (KLEE). This examination is used for all courses for the college as well as for the under graduate and post graduate programs. KLEE is mandatory from the prospective students in order to be admitted into the institution. The college also takes the L.L.B 3-year examination for some of the programs it offers.
