Aswini college of nursing, based in Thrissur, was started in the year 2004 is one of the premier college for nursing in Kerala of India. Situated in Nadathara, Thrissur, this affiliated college has the recognition from the Indian Nursing Council (INC). This institute has a large sized campus of 5.7 acres, it makes it suitable to conduct classes and give education to students. The Aswini College of Nursing has over all student strength of 243 and faculty strength of 29 making it an ideal environment.

Aswini College of Nursing fully supports the provision of quality equipments to support the learning programmes of its students. The learning institution provides a standard library services as it contains a rich source of literature that is crucial in nursing. This has been complemented with functional computerised laboratories that mimic real life health care setting where students can train. With regard to their welfare, there is a provision of a heath centre for first aid services for the students in case of need. The college also contains an auditorium for event and seminar with enhancing the academic environment of the college. Healthcare technology means IT infrastructure is available to update the students with latest technologies. The common programmes in nursing education are offered in Aswini College of Nursing. There are 5 full time courses in the institute, out of which the student can complete an undergraduate or a postgraduate programme. The largest programme is the B.Sc Nursing which takes 80 students. At the post graduate level, the college offers M.Sc in Medical Surgical Nursing, Community Health Nursing, Paediatric Nursing, and Obstetrics and Gynaecological Nursing for five students in each.
