Bajkul Milani Mahavidyalaya was founded in the year 1964 and is one of Purba Medinipur's West Bengal's most reputed academic institutions. This affiliated college has been catering to the academic needs for almost six decades with a sprawling 12.5-acre campus. Having a total strength of 3,876 students and a faculty strength of 140, it offers a wide variety of 28 courses in 6 different degree programs. Bajkul Milani Mahavidyalaya has been assessed and accredited by NAAC; this only goes on to explain the institution's sincerity regarding imparting good education. Admission to Bajkul Milani Mahavidyalaya is almost entirely based on merit. In undergraduate programs, admissions are made based on the academic merit of applicants in their qualifying examinations, subject to the intake capacity fixed by the affiliating university. Admission to all the Post Graduate Courses shall be based on a Common Entrance Test CET, conducted by the College, and the admission will be strictly based on the merit of the said examination.
