Balasaheb Mane Education Trust’s Chh. Shivaji College of Education is located in Kolhapur, having the noble mission of providing teachers to the nation since 1990. This is a co-educational college wherein the students are from Rukadi, Maharashtra, and it is affiliated with Shivaji University and also recognised by NCTE. The college is a sanctum of the B.Ed programme in which it has total intakes of 45 students, and there are 4 faculty members teaching faculties in the college. Despite being a compact college, it seeks to produce quality education in a natural setting.

A good learning resource centre is a knowledge reservoir containing materials that are relevant to teaching and learning requirements for purposes offuture facilitators. Shivaji College of Education is committed to offering the best teacher education to its students enrolled in the B.Ed programme. This course is a two-year full course of study which aims at producing competent educators for the schools. As of now, the college has an approved intake capacity of 50 seats for this programme, for budding teachers who want to develop their skills in a nourishing academic setting. As for now, the college offers only one programme of affording a degree, but its concentrated field provides necessary attention to the teacher education.
