Balurghat B.Ed. College is a co-educational institute established in 2004 at Mangalpur, Balurghat, West Bengal. This is an affiliated college, and its recognition comes from NCTE; further, the NAAC has awarded this institute with accreditation. This college, having an enrolment of 40 students in three specialised education programmes, is located on a compact 2-acre campus. The faculty strength of the institute is 50, ensuring a favourable student-teacher ratio.

The UG professional course in Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) and Diploma in Elementary Education is for those who wish to teach at the primary level. One can further their advancement in education with the Master of Education (M.Ed.) available for those looking to enhance their knowledge of educational theories and practices. The admission process followed at Balurghat B.Ed. College is based on norms prescribed by WBUTTEPA for the B.Ed. course, whereas the D.El.Ed. course admission is based on merit according to marks secured in Higher Secondary or equivalent examinations as per guidelines from the West Bengal Board of Primary Education. The M.Ed. programme is also based on a merit-based admission process, which may further comprise an entrance examination or other selection procedures as recommended by the state government or university policies.
