Bansal Institute of Research Technology and Science (BIRTS), was set up in 2007 at Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. Located in a 5 acres of land, BIRTS has developed itself as a renowned technical educational institution in the region. The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has recognised the institute which means that it offers its courses in conformity with the standard set at the national level. At the end of last academic year, BIRTS has a total number of 569 students and 56 faculites, so that the school has a proper student/teacher ratio and proper learning environment. At the undergraduate level it has five engineering programs all of which focus on emerging disciplines like Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science.

Bansal Institute of Research Technology and Science  has developed numerous facilities that are intended to improve education in general. Several innovation-controlled laboratories in many engineering precincts are available in the institute to afford firsthand experience to the students. An elaborate library is an invaluable resource for the academic process providing necessary information. Sport facilities available include a theatre for holding seminars and other events, promoting brain Analyst, culture among students. In the light of the health of their community, BIRTS has health centre facilities with first aid services for their users. The institute also gives adequate importance to health and recreation having sports facility for the students to opt for. There is a cafeteria on the campus which deals with the eating requirements of both teachers and learners, while the information and communication technology facilitates flow of information and acquisition of information technology equipment.

The variety of the academic programs at BIRTS is quite rich, which mainly prepares five full-time undergraduate engineering programmes. These are BE in Computer Science and Engineering, BE in Mechanical Engineering, BE in Civil Engineering, BE in Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning and BE in Computer Science and Engineering with a specialisation in Data Science.
