The Bhagirathi Institute of Technology and Management Lohaghat was established in the year 2013 and accredited by AICTE. The BITM is affiliated with Uttarakhand Board of Technical Education, Roorkee (UBTER) and approved by AICTE and PCI. The university offers a total of 5 diploma courses in various specialisations. The BITM courses include diploma courses in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering (Production), and Pharmacy. Before applying for a desired course the candidates should meet the BITM eligibility criteria.

For a diploma in Engineering, candidates should have a matriculation (high school) from any recognized board, 10+2 (PCM)or its equivalent from any recognized board or Matriculation (high school) with 2 2-year ITI certificate. For a diploma in pharmacy, candidates should have 10+2 with a minimum of 45% Marks PCB/PCM from any recognised board. Admission to BITM Lohaghat is based on UK-JEEP scores.
