It is an affiliated college in Kanaila Chakrapanpur in Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh established in the year 2005 and is continuing its tradition of moulding the youth. This institution which is recognised by The National Council for Teacher Education, Ncte provides under graduate programmes as well as diploma courses. The take capacity of the college is 1,247 total number of students while the faculty strength is 16, which drilling down to the essence of the college makes it unique. Currently, the institute provides 10 courses in different fields to meet the expectations of the student and job-seekers. 

Bhagwan Aadarsh Mahavidyalaya is affiliated with Maharaja Suhel Dev State University, Azamgarh. Bhagwan Aadarsh Mahavidyalaya boasts of equipped facilities to provide the right environment for learning to its students. The core of these utilities is offered by the admission to a multi-faceted library containing many attractive modern books of various disciplines. The library also has a reading room through which students can comfortably carry out individual study and research. For those who are fitness conscious then college provides sports facility and gym. However, aware of the modern day requirements due to technological advancements, the college has a good IT facility. Moreover, the college has some departmental laboratories whereby learners practice various specialities within the curriculum. 

There are altogether 10 full time courses offered at Bhagwan Aadarsh Mahavidyalaya, two of which are four years and one is three years long and each course provided aims at preparing students as professional workforce of their respective fields. The college offers two bachelor’s degree courses – the Bachelor of Arts (BA) and the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed); and a Diploma course in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed).

This basic admission process however varies with the course that one seeks to take at Bhagwan Aadarsh Mahavidyalaya. For B.Ed & D.El.Ed programme the admission criteria is strictly merit based with reference to the percentage of marks secured in the qualifying examination as well as in any entrance examination conducted for this purpose. The college also possesses any other selection procedure as provided by the state government, U.T. Administration, and the university.
