The Bharath Niketan Engineering College or BNEC as it is known in the region was founded in the year 1998 and is a well-known college in the region of Theni, Tamil Nadu. Located in a greatly endowed 20.19-acre compound, BNEC delivers a blend of engineering and management courses. This college is / with Anna University and / accredited by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) which makes / the standard of the college education high enough. BNEC takes 743 students and has a faculty of 128 to offer a proper academic atmosphere to the students who want to make their career in engineering and management. The college teaches 12 courses in four degree programs including fields of engineering, technology and management.

We also have elaborate facilities that seek to complement the learning of our students as offered by BNEC. The college library is a two-storied building having a carpet area of 635 square meters In the college library textbooks, reference books and several national and international journals are subscribed. As for students, especially the sports activists, BNEC has well-established playfields for many sporting activities such as football, cricket, basketball and volleyball. It is also important here at the college to ensure students are comfortable; the college provides separate hostels for male and female students which are fully equipped with some necessities and made to be more like home. This paper explains that to avoid disruptions in connectivity BNEC has always seen it fit to have a good IT structure. College canteens and refreshment rooms are used by the students as a place of rest and discussion of the current issues, the college auditorium is designed for holding of various events and seminars. BNEC also has its transport in the form of 22 buses which transport students and staff from different places safely and conveniently.

The academic courses offered by BNEC provide for an all-rounded program that meets the current dynamics of the industry. The college teaches a total of 13 courses. These are full-time B.Tech programmes in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, and the newly introduced Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. At the postgraduate level, Master of Engineering (ME) in Software Engineering, Communication Systems and Industrial Safety Engineering Management, Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Computer Applications (MCA). The total approved intake for all the courses combined is 743 so that the institution can maintain a reasonable student/ faculty ratio that enhances learning.

The admission procedure formulated at BNEC is simple and based on merit as has been prescribed by Anna University, Chennai. Undergraduate engineering programs are offered admissions through a single window system, the merit list of Anna University. For admission to the ME, MBA and MCA courses offered on its Campuses and its self-financing, Anna University conducts TANCET for the admission of postgraduate level students. This makes the selection process have validity and thus eliminates bias in the process of selecting those who will be hired. BNEC offers its postgraduate programmes based on TANCET scores.
