Bharath Polytechnic, Kolar, was started in the year 1985 at Amaravathy Nagar, Bangarapet, Kolar, Karnataka. This coed educational institute is located on a campus area of 5.32 acres and offers diploma courses in different disciplines of engineering. Students enrolment in practice is 102, and faculty strength is 26, and this is the speciality of Bharath Polytechnic. There are three full-time diploma programmes each of three years duration into Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Computer Science and Engineering.

The institute has a variety of facilities that are aimed at improving the educational environment of the students. Amongst these facilities, the college boasts a modern, stocked library that has over thirteen thousand volumes with two thousand two hundred titles, whatever course semester diploma offers in college. The library also offers a book bank facility for socially backward students and remains open until 3:00. The learning schedule includes 30 PM for extra study time. Moreover, the college has adopted technology in the new development and put in place an e-library facility. A new curriculum requires full-fledged laboratories, and workshops have also been set up with the required technology in Bharath Polytechnic to provide the requisite practical knowledge to the students.
