Bhartiya Vidya Mandir Teacher’s Training College Banswara Rajasthan an Affiliated College started its journey in the year 1984. It is an NCTE approved institute with a major focus on teacher education for classes from primary through secondary. Amar Bahu College is a small college located on 0.62 acre of land and it has been having an enrolment capacity of 276 students and 14 faculties. To this end, the institute is only accredited to offer a single degree known as B.Ed which is a full time programme that takes two academic years to complete. But mainly as a teacher training institution – it aims at preparing students for teaching careers.

The college enjoys different amenities to foster its educational programmes and objectives. Being one of the primary facilities within the framework of the institution, the library contains 10,663 volumes of the library fund, inclusive of 8,083 books of 915 titles. It reads 31 Education and General journals and magazines, four Hindi daily newspapers and one English daily newspaper. The reading room has a sitting capacity of 30 students at a time. The college also has an Art and Craft centre, important in nurturing the student’s artistic incline and encouraging positive attitudes. The computer lab is designed to support modern teaching and learning needs with 13 networked computers, internet facilities. Also, the college has properly developed sports amenities and well-equipped class rooms for all rounded learning.

The Bhartiya Vidya Mandir Teacher’s Training College teaches only one course which is the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) course. This is a two-year full time course which has been developed to meet the needs of producing qualified teachers. The college only trains teachers since the institution aims at honing qualified teachers to meet regional demands.
