Bhaurao Kakatkar College, Belgaum, is an affiliated college established in 1975 and situated in Belgaum, Karnataka. It is affiliated with the deemed University and duly recognised by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).  The affiliated college name is Rani Channamma University, Belagavi. Located on an 18 acre land, the college caters to all the bachelor's, master's, and doctoral as well as other programmes. The college has been able to enrol a total of 1,514 students while the number of faculty is still 47; therefore, the college has a quality student-teacher ratio. Being an undergraduate college, Bhaurao Kakatkar College offers five different courses in different fields of Commerce, Arts and Science.

The college has numerous amenities that serve to improve the general climate of learning among the students. The library serves as one of the academic resource centres with 43,987 books and over 15 subscribed periodicals. Also, INFLIBNET has made electronic resources, e-books and e-journals available through NLIST; thus, students have a lot of materials to read. For sports lovers, the college has the best equipment for different sports like Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, athletics, bodybuilding, Wrestling, etc., followed by group games like Cricket and Football. Having these facilities, main IT equipment is available on campus, and students are well connected as all technologies are updated. The accommodation centres where the college provides hostel facilities can be of advantage to male and female students. The college also has a health centre with first aid provision and emergency treatment, supporting students’ health.

Bhaurao Kakatkar College currently provides 5 full-time courses of study at the university and at post-university levels. Courses offered include B.Com, M.Com, M.Sc Chemistry, BA and B.Sc. These courses are intended to give the students broad coverage of their areas of specialisation in order to prepare them to either proceed to the highest levels of study or join the job market.
