Bihar College of Education, Ara, was founded in the year 2012. The college is situated at Gidha, Ara, Bihar. It is a co-educational affiliated college. This institution received its approval from NCTE. Thus, w ith this very noble aim and objective, the college is spreading quality education for teaching. Located on a compact campus with a measurement area of 1.5 acres, the college provides a focused learning environment to the budding teachers. The total enrolment is 90, and it has 12 faculty members, providing every student individual attention and interactive learning experience.

Bihar College Education, Ara, is basically a teacher education college, and it has the predominant course of B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education). This is a full-time two-year course aimed at preparing students for effective teaching. 

Admissions are made on merit in conformity with the policies of the state government and the affiliated university. The performance in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination may be taken as a basis of evaluation for admission for prospective students. In addition, this college may always use the other selection processes laid down either by the state government or the Union Territory administration.
