Bihar Veterinary College, Patna is one of the most prestigious institutions established in the year 1927 and located in Patna, Bihar. Being a constituent college of Bihar Animal Sciences University, it imparts specialized education in Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry. The student enrolment of this institution is 307, and the faculty strength is 63.

The admission process at Bihar Veterinary College is strict and totally based on merit. In the B.V.Sc & A.H. course, the candidates are selected based on their performance in the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test(NEET) conducted by NTA. The counselling is managed by the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board, Patna. For Post graduate programmes, admission to M.V.Sc. is based on ICAR's All India Entrance Examination for Admission. Ph.D. admissions are decided by the candidates' performance in the ICAR AICE JRF/SRF examination.
