Cancer Institute, Adyar is a private college established in the year 1954 by the Women India Association’s (WIA) Cancer Relief Fund. The institute is affiliated to the Tamil Nadu DR. MGR Medical University. The institute is also recognized by both the University of Madras and Anna University for research leading to MPhil and Ph.D. degrees in the areas of medical physics, psycho-oncology and molecular oncology.
