CIPET Balasore is known for imparting Plastic engineering and technology and Centre for Skilling and Technical Support at Balasore. This affiliated college was set up in 2010 The college is situated at Bampada Industrial Area, Balasore, Odisha. The technical scenarios of the course are enrolled and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education which makes the programs’ quality impeccable. With a sprawling campus of 8 acres, CIPET Balasore today has an enrolment of 429 students and a team of 37 Faculty members today. It provides concentrated curriculum that comprises diploma courses and Post graduate diploma courses mainly focusing various aspect of plastics technology.

It has a number of state of the art amenities that would help it achieve its aim of providing education. The institute offers different hostels for boys and girls with spacious and well furnished rooms and infection-free wash rooms. Modern labs are also provided on the campus which includes dedicated Physics and Chemistry lab wherein the students shall be able to get the practical exposure of the things which are taught in the class. Two fully air condition IT computer lab having one hundred seating capacity are there to provide training to the students in IT sector. The institute library though small is fully air-conditioned and contains approximately one thousand volumes of books in its collection as well as different magazines and journals to support the institutes academic oriented learning environment. For physical fitness, play and outdoor lovers, CIPET Balasore provides them with outdoor as well as indoor sports facilities. Related to this, the school has a free first-aid and medical day care center; therefore, offering minor medical services to students and employees.

In academic point of course, CIPET Balasore has a niche specialisation towards plastics engineering and technology. Today, the institute is offering only four main courses, although all of them are designed to address the development needs of plastics industry. These include three diploma programs: These are Diploma in Plastic Technology with two shifts, Diploma in Plastics Mould Technology and Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Plastic Process and Testing. Each of these programmes has an intake capacity of 60 students to train 240 students in total over all the courses offered. This has helped CIPET Balasore to develop graduates with high technical knowledge and relevant to the plastics industry.
