    Cheran College of Engineering, Karur, was established in 2012 and is an affiliated college situated in Tamil Nadu, India. The institute is located on a large 20.62-acre land to support the development of engineering students through its diverse programmes. It accommodates a total of 377 students and 68 faculties, making it the right atmosphere for learning. This college has five undergraduate engineering programmes, that are all full time, offered to suit various interests in the field of engineering.

    Self-learning is also boosted by the available resources in the institute. Cheran College of Engineering wants to provide the best of the modern facilities to the students. It boasts of well-built, spacious, and presentable separate hostels for the boys and the girls in order to improve the academic performance. These hostels have some facilities that include indoor games, internet facilities, meditation halls, gymnasium, and recreation rooms. A college library of 450 square meters carries approximately 10,000 books of different disciplines including engineering, management, general science and sports. It also provides OPAC, discussion, and video rooms for research and study among the users. For healthcare, the college has clinics, medical facilities and a full staffed medical officer is always on call during working days. Sports facilities are also present on the campus. There is an auditorium for organising events, seminars etc. It has well equipped laboratories too.

    At present, Cheran College of Engineering has five undergraduate engineering courses all of which are full- time curriculum based. The following BE (Bachelor of Engineering) programmes are offered: Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and Computer Science and Engineering. These courses are intended to equip students with sufficient knowledge in the specific areas of engineering to assure their successful professional practice or continuation of their education in graduate schools.
