About College of Agriculture, Mandya

Mandya is another constituent College of Agriculture which was started in the year 1991 symbolising the institution importance for agricultural education and research. This institution is situated in Mandya in the state of Karnataka and occupies a huge area of 57.25 acres to provide natural learning with proper environment. Founded and approved by the Indian Council for Agricultural Research ICAR, the college has clinched it’s its niche in the field of Agriculture. Total number of students admitted into the college is 550 and total number of faculty members is 23, which makes a higher student-teacher ratio that guarantees attention and quality education. The institution teaches 5 programmes at 2 levels of degrees in different branches of agricultural sciences for both undergraduates and postgraduates.

Some of the facilities existing at the college are the facilities that have made a difference in the learning as well as the development of the students of the College of Agriculture, Mandya. Each department enjoys well developed laboratories which offer practical skills in agricultural research and experiments. An efficient and stocked library which consists of books, journals, newspapers, periodicals and different databases are the knowledge resources available. Of particular importance in implementing information technology in the college is the ability to make sure students can connect with one another and get access to the most current technological resources available in the field. 

In the physical fitness and recreation, the institution has the sporting activities equipments and a gym. There are also mixed and separate hostels for the boy’s and girl’s students to ensure accommodation for out station students. There is a college cafeteria that helps meet the needs of the college community in terms of food, and a health centre – first aid station helps students and workers of the college perform at optimal level. The college has an auditorium which is of great importance in facilitating a number of events and seminars hence plays the role of a lively part of the academic year.

Mandya’s College of Agriculture current offers many full time courses in the agricultural science fields. The institution currently offers one Undergraduate programme, the four – year B.Sc Agriculture (Hons) and four Postgraduate programmes, each taking a duration of two years. These M.Sc. Agriculture programmes major in Entomology, Agronomy, Genetics and Plant Breeding and Plant pathology. Such a course structure provides the mechanism through which students may easily specialise in regions of agricultural science in which they are interested in focusing their careers.

Your Exact rank cannot be precisely predicted. Your KCET 2021 score is 80 marks ,  so your expected rank will be in range of 4500-5700 . Although it is expected rank, actual rank may differ from it.  You may get seat in some good agri college  ,wait and try for all rounds.
