    It has been originated in the year 1964 as a Constituent College of Osmania University in Hyderabad, Telangana now popularly known as post graduated the College of Agriculture, Rajendranagar. Located over a vast land of 10 acres, it provides a vast number of agricultural programmes. The college has a student population of 3,304, 90 percent of who are under graduate students while 10 percent are post graduate students. The institution supports a student faculty ratio of 15:1 with the faculty strength of 105 teachers.

    In this regard, number of facilities available in the College of Agriculture, Rajendranagar, are as follows. The campus consists of boys’ and girls’ hostels with all modern facilities like solar water heating system for boiler, solar cooking steam unit, etc. The central library is quite equipped to meet the book requirements of the students and separate departments have libraries for the post graduate scholars. The college has established a moderngamma to all types of sports facilities indoor / outdoor to support health and teamwork. The broad-based main course is B.Sc. Agriculture (Hons); the college also offers many M.Sc. and Ph.D. courses in specific areas of study, including Agricultural Economics, Agronomy, Plant Pathology, and Soil Science. All courses are day MBA programmes and are designed to offer depth of knowledge and exposure in selected areas.  The institution’s focus towards agriculture is well demonstrated through its availability of a large number of courses which relate to modern aspects of Agriculture and related sciences.
