The College of Nursing, Guru Education Trust, Kottayam is recognised nursing college in kerala, India, which was started in the year 2011. It has 3.7 acres of land located in Karukachal town, and it is affiliated with the University of Kerala resulted from the Dr Rajendra Prasad Act of 1956. Incorporated and affiliated to the Indian Nursing Council (INC), the institution aims to produce quality health care human resource. The college currently has 89 learners and is staffed by 14 members of the faculty, which allows the college to keep class size small. The institution provides only one degree programme: the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.Sc Nursing) in view of the specialty nature of the school.

The college boasts of having a wide list of facilities that it extends to its students so as to support their corporate and individual growth. The institutional structure contains a well-equipped library with more than 3,000 volumes of nursing knowledge. In order to provide practical orientation in medical field the college also possesses a health center with first aid amenities. The campus also has state of the art it facilities, so that the learners are well informed on current developments in the health sector. For convenient access to students, the college offers accommodation for both male and female students in hostels with a canteen to feed the hostellers. A campus has an auditorium as one of its facilities whereby implies educational occasions and seminars that enrich the environment of the campus.

Although now the College of Nursing, Guru Education Trust Kottayam has been instituted, it stresses solely on its constituent four year B.Sc Nursing course. This course takes four years and is a full-time programme which help’s student’s acquire broad nursing expertise. Currently the programme has an approved capacity of taking 60 students per year so the students are well taken care off and the quality of education will always be good. This gives the institution a focused approach of having highly competent nursing professionals produced in the institution.
