AICNC, or affiliated institute of college of nursing, Kanpur was established in 1975 and situated in the centre of Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. Located on the Medical College Campus, this is a co-education institute that is recognised by the Indian Nursing Council (INC). The college occupies a total area of about eight acres, hence affording enough space for teaching and learning as well as other co-curricular activities. Currently, the college has 151 students and 23 faculties on its campus, which comprise a low student-teacher ratio of 6:1, which strongly supports student-centred education. 

Library being a major aspect of academic document resource centre well stocked with journals, magazines, newspapers, and books in departments of medicine, surgery, nursing, general knowledge, biological sciences/social sciences, etc. For practical experience, the College of Nursing central and departmental laboratory facilities are functional to provide students practical experience in their field of specialisation. The institution has embraced the use of technology in the current learning institutions by having a well-equipped, large computerised facility with configured computers, and internet is available throughout the facility 24 hours a day.
