College of teacher education (Tribal Welfare), Bhadrachalam which was established in 2000 is affiliated college for future teachers. This institution is based in Khammam District Telangana, the institution is anchored on a 7-acres land and learning environment to support student growth. The college runs two specialised programmes in education that has been endorsed by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). The college has a total enrolment capacity of 200 students and has a faculty strength of 14 which furthers a healthy students faculty ratio insuring that all students are given individual attention and quality education.

The college has various assets that provide improvement to the students’ learning environment. As a resource centre, a good library stock is crucial to meet the needs of students in general, but particularly teachers in the making. This is because the college provides spaces within departments odd fellow where practical laboratory is essential in pedagogy training. Auditorium provides different event and seminars and encourages people in delivering their thoughts and cultural programs. The institution also cares for aspect of physical health and welfare by providing sporting facilities and gym for the student. Besides, the college offers fairly good information technology facilities in order to meet the modern trends in learning. To attend to the needs of the visiting faculty members and other members of the students’ families, there are guest and waiting areas within the campus.

Concerning curriculum, the College of Teacher Education (Tribal Welfare) offers two full time programmes in the area of education. Two years Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) programme was proposed and approved to take 200 students. The college provides a two year Diploma in Education (D.El.Ed) for fifty students who wants to be a diploma holder. These programmes are developed with special purpose of preparing the students to become effective teachers, especially in tribes. 

As for the admission process in College of Teacher Education (Tribal Welfare) the College follows the mark secured in the qualification examination and/or in entrance examination. The college functions strictly under the admission policies specified by the state government of Telangana and the university with which it is affiliated. For the B.Ed programme for instance, the admission details may also incorporate additional process as standard with the university. The admissions criteria for the D.El.Ed (previously D.Ed) are also generic merit-based admissions, as per the state government/UT administration policies.
