Darshan Singh Smrati Mahavidyalaya is an affiliated college established in 2003 at Kanpur. It is approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and provides eight full-time courses in different disciplines. The college is affiliated with CSJMU Kanpur. The college currently has a total student population of 2686 and a faculty of 58, allowing for a more individualised educational experience. 

Darshan Singh Smrati Mahavidyalaya has infrastructural facilities that facilitate learning among the students. A modern and well-stocked library is considered the academic resource centre. To support practical cases, the institution undertakes the provision of laboratories. It has sports facilities for exercise and to improve the health and fitness of students.
