DAV Training College, Kanpur was set up in the year 1948. The college is located at Civil Lines, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. Being an affiliated college and recognised by National Council for Teacher Education, NCTE, DAV Training College has been producing the future teachers for over seven decades. Situated on a congested campus of 1.03 acres, it has focused committed learning for 160 enrolled students. There is a student-faculty ratio of 40:1 so that individualised attention is provided to every student who wishes to be a teacher.

The admission procedure to the B.Ed course of the DAV Training College is pretty simple and strictly on merit basis. The applicants wishing to join the B.Ed course need to appear for a Common Entrance Test held by the state in which he/she is applying from. Since the college admits students strictly based on the merit list, which it prepares in consultation with Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University, Kanpur, it goes strictly on these lines only for proper selection.
