DDR College of Education, Nellore, was established in the year 2004. It is an affiliated college of SPSR Nellore District of Andhra Pradesh. The college is co-educational and is approved by the National Council for Teacher Education. The college is located on a 1-acre compact campus. The college is housed in a building that gives an appropriate learning atmosphere for prospective teachers. With 100 students total enrolment and having 8 faculty members, DDR College of Education will look after all its students appropriately. The institution already offers one degree programme specifically specialised in the education field; this is an indication of dedication to the future teaching professionals.

This college tries to enhance the student's learning experience with diverse facilities. It is a knowledge centre that caters to all the academic needs of both the students and teachers. All the departments of this college are well equipped with laboratories, which ensures that practical work is carried out and experience gained. There is also an auditorium where functions and seminars are held to promote intellectual debate on cultural events. An institution must also have a cafeteria to refresh and socialise its staff and students. Only one study programme, the B.Ed full-time programme, which runs for two years, is offered in DDR College of Education. Merit will be the consideration basis of admission to all students seeking entry in any course into DDR College of Education under policies set in place by the state government, university, and even the UT administration. Therefore, all admissions shall take effect based on a student's marks in their qualification examination, an entrance exam, or some other aptitude exam the college sees fit with the person under consideration.
