Choudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut, has constituted the Department of Computer Application in 2007 which is a constituent College envisioned to deliver quality education in the filed of Computer Science. In Uttar Pradesh, this is a co-educational institution assisted by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) which allows the educational process in accordance with the given criteria. The department is located on a large fertile land of 222 acres, which provide a good environment for leaning. Boasting of a faculty of 5 members the department pays much emphasis on ensuring maximum student –faculty interaction and quality academic environment that enhances creativity. 

Department of computer application proudly enjoys number of modern amenities which are useful for the study of students. A advanced technological equipped modern auditorium with a seating capacity more than 1000 is one more asset for cultural and academic related programmes. Computing facilities include provision of high speed wired and or wireless internet on the campuses hence facilitating access to on line resources. Contained in the department are well-equipped laboratories with competitive IT infrastructure to enable students practice on modern technology. For those who want to avail the university hostel there are two hostels, one for boys and the other for the girls Only electrical facility available is the round the clock power backup, water heater and RO water cooler. The Department of Computer Application offers one flagship programme. One of these is, the Master of Computer Applications (MCA). This course is a full time two years postgraduate study to develop the advanced knowledge and proficiency of the students in the field of computer applications to deal with the challenges of the emerging information technology.
