The Department of Computer Science and Information Technology is one of the new age constituent colleges of Central University of Jammu which started in 2012.Situated in Rahya Suchani (Bagla), Samba district, Jammu and Kashmir. This college for boys and girls, recognized by AICTE, provides highly specialized courses in computer science and technology. The faculty of the department from 6 members offers depth-orientation for students who are interested in continuative education in the field. 

The department possesses a number of learning resources intended to enrich the education of students. A knowledge center as a well stocked library allows access to a gaingerie of academic materials. IT Infrastructure is very conspicuous, the department has adopted high bandwidth aided through the National Knowledge Network. This advanced setup permits video conferencing that enabled organizing virtual class and interaction with other university, IITs and NITs. The procedure of admission in M.Tech programmes at the department is selective and is done based on merit. Regarding the first M.Tech programme the admission is open; however GATE score is generally considered for the admission.
