Devarajan College of Education, Nagapattinam, was started in the year 2009 with the aim to produce quality educators of the future generation and is a co-educational institution. Established in Vedaranyam as an affiliated college and approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Teacher Education imparts quality teacher Education. The college is located on a 9-acre campus, which provides an environment that is appropriate for teaching and learning. The institution offers total student enrolment for 150 and a faculty of 8; the scenario allows the institute to offer individual student attention, making the learning environment unique.

Devarajan College of Education is affiliated with Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University, Chennai. Devarajan College of Education mainly has courses for teacher training and development; the college offers a B.Ed. programme. The aforesaid course is a two-year full-time course, which has an approved strength of 50 students. The B.Ed programme aims to impart the knowledge, skills, and other aspects of teaching proficiency that a candidate would require for reconstructing or reconstructing the classroom teaching strategy.
