DSCET Chennai: Admission 2026, Cutoff, Courses, Fees, Placements, Ranking

Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan College of Engineering and Technology offers admission in various branches of educational studies, which are Engineering, Business Management and Computer Applications. To seek admission at DSCET Chennai, the applicant can either apply through the government quota or through the management quota. The government quota admissions are overseen by the government of Tamil Nadu and management quota admissions are conducted by the DSCET Chennai itself. The applicant must have an eligible score in any one of the following entrance exams - CEETA-PG/GATE/CAT/XAT/ATMA/MAT/TANCET.

The government quota admission is dependent on the online counselling rounds of Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission (TNEA) counselling, Common Engineering Admission Procedure (CEAP) and TANCET counselling. Meanwhile, the DSCET Chennai management quota admissions are dependent purely on the academic merit performance of the applicant, along with an eligible score in the above-mentioned entrance exams.

Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan College of Engineering and Technology Application Procedure 

• The applicant must appear for the relevant entrance examinations. 

• For DSCET Chennai admission through the government quota, the applicant must register for the relevant counselling rounds on official portals. 

• Through the counselling rounds, the applicant will be allotted colleges as per their score in the entrance examinations and merit. 

• Meanwhile, management quota admission is only available in ME/MBA and MCA courses for which the applicant must fill out the DSCET Chennai online registration form and pay the application fee. 

DSCET Chennai UG Course Admissions 2024

The college offers admission in Bachelor of Engineering courses, available in a total of 12 specialisations, some of which are Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Information Technology and Civil Engineering. The duration of the courses is 4 years. 

DSCET Chennai BE Eligibility Criteria 

DSCET Chennai B.Tech Admission Procedure

• The candidate must meet the BE eligibility criteria, to apply for admission. 

• He/She needs to register online on the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission (TNEA) counselling portal to appear for the counselling. 

• The applicant must fill out the registration form with valid details.

• After registration, he/she will be required to fill out the choice filling list.

• They must put the Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan College of Engineering and Technology, at the top, for their preference. 

• The applicant will be allotted a seat in the course as per their academic merit. 

• So, applicants who receive the allotment order/letter must visit the DSCET Chennai, and pay the BE course fee, to finalise admission. 

Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan College of Engineering and Technology PG Course Admissions 2024

The college offers admission in ME, MBA and MCA courses. The seat intake remains 18 for specialisations available in ME courses. Meanwhile, the sanctioned seat intake for MBA and MCA courses is 120 and 60 respectively. These PG programmes are technical and professional degree courses. 

DSCET Chennai PG Eligibility Criteria 

DSCET Chennai ME/MBA/MCA Government Quota Admission Procedure

• The candidate must meet the ME/MBA/MCA eligibility criteria, to apply for admission. 

• The ME applicant must qualify for CEETA-PG and the MBA / MCA applicant must qualify for the TANCET exam. 

• Afterwards, the ME candidates must participate in the Common Engineering Admission Procedure (CEAP). 

• The MBA / MCA applicants have to appear for the online counselling rounds of the TANCET exam. 

• The applicants who have been provisionally admitted through the allotment process must report to the institute at the earliest with valid documents and an allotment letter.

• They must qualify for the physical verification round and pay the course fee for DSCET Chennai PG admissions. 

DSCET Chennai ME/MBA/MCA Management Quota Admission Procedure

• The applicant has to obtain a valid score in CEETA-PG/GATE/CAT/XAT/ATMA/MAT/TANCET. 

• Then, the applicant must fill out the DSCET Chennai registration form. 

• The applicant will be shortlisted- on the basis of academic merit, to appear for further rounds of admission which are group discussion and interview. 

• The applicant who qualifies for these rounds will be selected for admission. 

• So, the chosen candidates must pay the DSCET Chennai course fee, to be successfully admitted into the college.
