Dhruva Institute of Engineering and Technology is a self-financing college situated at Toopranpet near Ramoji Film City, Choutuppal, Yadadri, Telangana State, and was started in the year 2008. This affiliated college has been expanding in its mission to offer quality engineering education as follows. DIET has a total enrolment capacity of 94 students and equal strength in enrolment and, therefore, provides effective learning opportunities for students who aspire to be engineers. At the moment, the institute has five B.Tech courses, which are spread over four years to cover all branches of engineering.

Dhruva Institute of Engineering and Technology, located near Ramoji Film City, Toopranpet, Choutuppal, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district in Telangana, is affiliated with Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH).  DIET has put in place various faculties aimed at improving the student experience. The college library occupies a built-up area of about 10,000 sq. ft and contains about 18,000 books, national and international journals, magazines, and newspapers. It also provides electronic resources so as to ensure that the students embrace electronic libraries because they are full of knowledge. For those who need to be accommodated, DIET has available and operational hostels for both male and female candidates within proximity to the institution’s compound. These hostels are under the supervision of competent management in each one of them to take care of the students' welfare. It also maintains student health through a health centre, which has a first aid facility.

It operates five full-time B.Tech programmes in its curriculum, which speaks volumes about the institute's focus on engineering education. Some of them are the Civil Engineering programme, Computing and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. All our courses take four years to complete because, by so doing, the university’s objective of producing students who possess profound knowledge in the chosen discipline is achieved.
