Dinabandhu B.Ed. College was founded in 2012 and is listed as one of the best colleges in Burdwan, West Bengal. It is a co-educational college and is located in the village of Ragunathpur with the purpose of preparing future teachers into shape. The institute stands on 0.9 acres of land and has a total intake of 300 students for two specialised courses in education. With 25 experienced teachers, the student-teacher ratio in Dinabandhu B.Ed. Dinabandhu B.Ed. The college offers two full-time courses in education. The Bachelor of Education, B.Ed., is the mainstay course of the institution. The Diploma in Elementary Education, D.El.Ed. Both these courses are of two years 'duration and provide full-fledged training to emerging teachers. The intake for the college would be 150 for the above two courses. All its seats usually get filled up every academic year.

Admission to Dinabandhu B.Ed. College shall be strictly based on merit, i.e. marks in the qualifying examination. The admissions to the B.EThe d. Course shall be in accordance with the candidate's performance at the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination, subject to the State Government and the policies of the affiliating university from time to time. Admission to the D.El.Ed. Admission to the said course shall be based on the principle of merit in the qualifying examination. The programme, in which admission is granted on merit bases depending upon the marks in the qualifying examination and or an entrance test as per state government regulations.
