Admission to DYPSOA is through a selection aimed to elect the most meritorious students to take up the architectural profession. Admission to the B.Arch course is based on one's National Test Aptitude-NATA-or Joint Entrance Examination Main Paper 2, in accordance with the regulations of the Council of Architecture. A valid GATE score is considered for admissions to the M.Arch program or MH-CET scores and performance in the ADYPU Entrance Exam. Merited and highly talented students alone get enrolled in the DYPSOA fraternity through these rigorous selection procedures. DYPSOA considers the scores obtained in Joint Entrance Examination Main, National Aptitude Test in Architecture, and Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering. All of the above-mentioned examinations are conducted once a year. NATA is usually conducted multiple times a year.

Dr. D.Y. Patil School of Architecture, Pune (DYPSOA) a very reputed and specialized institution regarding imparting education in architecture. The two major courses offered by DYPSOA are 5-year Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) and a 2-year Master of Architecture (M.Arch) in Environmental Architecture.
The B.Arch admissions are based on score obtained in either the National Aptitude Test in Architecture or the Joint Entrance Examination, in accordance with the Council of Architecture. The two exams serve to assess the aptitude of the candidate to study architecture as well as measurement of proficiency in subjects such as Mathematics and Drawing. These two are held many times in a year, while the JEE Main has only two sessions every year. Therefore, an applicant should be on schedule to take the exams on the month prior to the start of an academic year, that is usually between January and May, in order to seek admission to the B.Arch.
Admission to the M.Arch program also considers scores from GATE or MH-CET and Admission also takes students based on an entrance exam conducted by the University (ADYPU Entrance Exam).
