Dr. D.Y. Patil School of Architecture, Pune is among the top institutes and was established in 2011 at the Dr. D.Y. Patil Knowledge City, Charholi, Pune. This is a constituent college approved by the Council of Architecture and was established with the purpose of imparting specialized education in the field of architecture. The 2-acre campus at DYPSOA has a total of 459 students with a faculty strength of 25. There are 2-degree programs oriented toward architecture and environmental studies at the institute. Being a co-educational institute, it offers equal opportunity for both males and females to contribute toward its growth and learn without any biases.

With all the courses that it runs, DYPSOA has adequate physical infrastructure. The library is the hub of all learning and research resources. Well-equipped laboratories enable students to carry out practical work concerning the course in architecture and also allow them to apply theoretical knowledge in practical areas. The auditorium offers a venue for various events and seminars. It thus acts as a forum for intellectual discourses and cultural activities in the field. With respect to health and wellness, DYPSOA has a health center with first-aid facilities to look after the well-being of its students. Realizing the importance of a balanced life, it has also paid attention to physical fitness through the provision of a gym and sports facilities. The institute offers a total of 2 full-time courses catering to both undergraduate and postgraduate levels of Architectural Education. With an aggregate approved intake of 140 students in all its programs, DYPSOA has ensured a very focused and personalized approach toward education. Undergraduate Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) is the prime stay of institute offerings, while on the flip side, Master of Architecture (M.Arch) in Environmental Architecture provides an avenue for advanced specialization.

Admission to DYPSOA is through a selection aimed to elect the most meritorious students to take up the architectural profession. Admission to the B.Arch course is based on one's National Test Aptitude-NATA-or Joint Entrance Examination Main Paper 2, in accordance with the regulations of the Council of Architecture. A valid GATE score is considered for admissions to the M.Arch program or MH-CET scores and performance in the ADYPU Entrance Exam. Merited and highly talented students alone get enrolled in the DYPSOA fraternity through these rigorous selection procedures. DYPSOA considers the scores obtained in Joint Entrance Examination Main, National Aptitude Test in Architecture, and Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering. All of the above-mentioned examinations are conducted once a year. NATA is usually conducted multiple times a year.
