Dr. Gangadharrao Pathrikar College of Agriculture, Aurangabad, which was set up in 2015, is a new generation institution in the field of agricultural education. This college is established in Pathri, Phulambri , Aurangabad, Maharashtra and its campus is spread over an area of one hundred acres of land. At present, the institute is offering only one course which is B.Sc Agriculture (Hons) total intake is 239 and faculties are 15 in number.
Dr. Gangadharrao Pathrikar College of Agriculture hast a variety of installations to improve the learning and development of the learners. Self-service operational library stocked with books and other multimedia forms are useful tools for both students and lecturers. Concerning the physical fitness facilities, the campus has installed a gym and sports that make sure that the students exercise proportionately in their academic pursuits and bodies. Dr. Gangadharrao Pathrikar College of Agriculture offers one full-time course, the B.Sc. Agriculture Hons. This is a four year programme which was approved for an intake capacity of 60 students per year. The course aims at equipping the students with a rounded understanding of the discipline covering agriculture in general and specialise in farming practices, research and farming related businesses. The overall registration stands at 239 students and this trend shows that there is budding interest for the agricultural courses offered here.
The admission policy adopted in Dr. Gangadharrao Pathrikar College of Agriculture is well formulated. Out of 100 percent intake capacity of B.Sc. Agriculture (Hons) programme, 80 percent from the Common Merit list prepared by Maharashtra Council of Agricultural Education and Research (MCAER), Pune. The rest 20 percent admissions are offered through a process called Management Quota. By having the two systems, MET and MOET, there is warrant that qualified students will be admitted but at the same time, the qualification of other students admitted, regardless of their special qualities for agriculture, is also considered.
