Dr. M.K. Shah Medical College and Research Centre, Ahmedabad, was started in the year 2017 at Chandkheda, Gujarat. It is one of the premier medical institutions affiliated with the said university. This college has been permitted by the National Medical Commission, NMC, to conduct several medical courses, training, and research activities. With a total of 850 students enrolled in it, it further consists of 239 teaching faculties who maintain a clean and healthy environment for medical education.

The college is fully facilitated with various structures that aid in the academic and personal growth of its students. There's a library, an indoor reading room accommodating 2 reading rooms on the second floor and 1 outdoors on the third floor, each accommodating 75 students. The reading rooms indoors work in accordance with the timings of the college, while an outdoor reading room remains open from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. to provide additional study time to the students. The institution has provided separate hostels for boys and girls so that there is comfortable boarding for the students. There is a campus health centre with first-aid facilities available on campus that look after urgent needs associated with health. The college is well equipped with an excellent IT infrastructure and departmental laboratories that provide hands-on experience to the students in their respective fields.

The programs offered in Dr. M.K. Shah Medical College and Research Centre, total 14 in number, are all full-time. Courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels in the medical field with various specializations are offered.

The admission process to Dr. M.K. Shah Medical College and Research Centre happens at the national level. For MBBS, at present, the course admission process is going on with NEET-UG; likewise, for postgraduate admission into many MD and MS programs on the basis of the examination in NEET PG.
