Eklavya Mahavidyalaya Banda was established in 2003. The college is approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) to run quality education for teacher training purposes. Eklavya Mahavidyalaya offers 13 different courses under 6 programmes. The college campus is spread over 7 acres with experienced faculty members.

Eklavya Mahavidyalaya is the affiliated with Bundelkhand University Jhansi. Eklavya Mahavidyalaya courses have unique streams such as arts, sciences, history, and other streams. The levels of Eklavya Mahavidyalaya courses are diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The names of the courses are D.El.Ed, BA, B.Ed, B.Sc, B.P.Ed, and MA programmes in Sanskrit, Sociology, Economics, Political Science, Education, History, English, and Hindi. Eklavya Mahavidyalaya admissions are merit-based for every course. To take admission to the B.Ed course, students need to give the UP B.Ed JEE exam.
