Situated right in Pune, Maharashtra, Ethel Gordon Junior College of Education is a prestigious enough institution that has been around since 1910. This NCTE-approved separate institute has been creating education dynamics for more than a hundred years. Accredited from Porwal Metallica, New Nana Peth, Rasta Peth, itself, is a small college that has a campus area of only 3.5 acres of land suitable for the intimate learning process. This is again due to the fact that with a total student enrolment of 56 and a total faculty of 8 members, the college has the facility of maintaining a proper and disciplined ratio of students to teachers.

At present, Ethel Gordon Junior College of Education offers one primary course. The course is known as the Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed). This programme takes two years and is offered only for full-time students since it prepares the students for facing the complexities of primary and elementary level education.
