The college Excel College of Engineering and Technology was set up in year 2009 and is situated in Namakkal Tamil Nadu, India and is affiliated college. Located in a 12 acre of land, the institute aims to provide various engineering courses for the deserving students. Excel College of Engineering and Technology develops sound education infrastructure as they have 892 students enrolled and 89 faculty members. The institute has five branch of engineering at the undergraduate level, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Petrochemical Technology, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Business Systems, Textile Technology and Information technology.

Excel College of Engineering and Technology includes a range of state-of-the art amenities that will facilitate students’ achieve their academic and personal potentials. The campus has state-of-art laboratories for practical purposes of engineering disciplines as part of training. Central library consists of books, titles of books, CD-ROMs and membership of national journals as follows, it contains total 8,771 books, 3,001 titles and 460 CD-ROMs and subscriptions of 68 national journals. Internet browsing, lending services, reprographic facilities are also available and a study hall that can house 200 students and faculty members. For the body of students the college has offered organisation of sports activities 400 meter standard athletics track, Football, Cricket, Volleyball, Tennis & Basketball. There is also what can be termed as indoor gym for people with interest in fitness activities.

Excel College of Engineering and Technology has five full time B.tech and BE Courses every course takes four years. All specialties of engineering are offered in some of these programmes and thus prepares the student adequately for the selected fields of engineering.
