Established in 2007, Falakata B.Ed. The college is affiliated with a university and approved by the National Council for Teacher Education. This co-ed college is located in Alipurduar city in the West Bengal state of India. This co-educational college, approved by NCTE, offers its primary focus on a training programme in teaching. The college encompasses a compact campus of 0.9896 acres with a student enrolment of 205 and a faculty of 11 at present. 

The college is affiliated with Baba Saheb Ambedkar Education University (BSAEU), Kolkata and the West Bengal Board of Primary Education (WBBPE) for its B.Ed. and D.El.Ed. Programmes respectively. The institution has many facilities to enrich the students' learning processes. A well-stocked library at the heart of these facilities has more than 5,000 books and 10 journals, which were recently revised with 500 new books in October 2019. The lending facilities, through which students borrow books for home study, and a reading room for reference purposes, are available. Geography and Science laboratories, well-equipped for practical learning, exist in the college. A computer laboratory is available to help students who need to complete technology-based assignments and projects, keeping pace with contemporary teaching methods and practices. The health centres within the campus premises, equipped with first-aid facilities to care for the health of the students. There is also a playground for outdoor sports-related activities and games, and indoor game facilities are also provided by the college.

Falakata B.Ed. The college is presently offering two specialised courses in the field of education. Falakata B.Ed. The college offers two full-time courses in the form of a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) and a Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.), catering to aspiring educators at different levels. Both courses are oriented towards a teaching career, with an emphasis on the development of pedagogical skills and educational theory. 

Admission to Falakata B.Ed. College is based on merit, marks in the qualifying examination, and/or entrance examinations. The admission in the B.Ed course is done in conformity with the policies framed by the respective state government or the affiliating university. Likewise, about D.El.Ed, the admission guidelines will work in respect of the policies of the state government or the UT administration. This is aimed at attracting a pool of committed and eligible candidates who are genuinely interested in taking up a teaching profession.
